Walleye Fishing
The Walleye are most common in the 1.5 to 3-pound range. Throughout the year guests catch and release Walleye over 10 pounds. If you are new to the lake we can safely say you should catch between 5 and 10 good size Walleye in a day. Then there are really good days where you may catch 10 to 20 or more Walleye in a day. |
Northern Pike Fishing
Red Cedar Lake has a great population of Northern Pike from good eating sizes right up to 50+ inch trophies. You should catch 15 to 25 Northern Pike on an average day. Northern Pike are most common in the 2 to 6 pound range. Throughout a week of pike fishing you should catch a few between 6 and 10 pounds. |
Smallmouth Bass Fishing
Guests tell us that they have found areas where they are catching bass after bass with the sizes ranging from 1/2 pound to 2.5 pounds. If you target Smallmouth Bass you should catch 10 to 25 on an average day. This lake is famous for gigantic Smallies. Guests commonly catch bass in the 5 and 6-pound range and a few times during the summer, guests will catch trophies in the 7+ pound range. |
Lake Trout Fishing
Red Cedar Lake goes down to 114 feet deep and there is a good population of Lake Trout. They are most common in the 1 to 4 pound range but the lake is big enough to produce 30 pound trout. Just north of camp is Rabbit Lake where Lake Trout are the dominant species and the numbers will be much higher than Red Cedar Lake and the Lake Trout are much eaier to catch. |
